As the release date looms large for our debut release in the U.K and the U.S on APE, ‘GIDDY’ (Out October the 5th) is beginning to garner incredible reviews all across the net and the printed world!!
The latest being a wonderful 4 star-review from the very lovely Mr. Mark Edwards at THE TIMES. You can click on the TIMES link (to the left) to read the review which contains such quotes as “overflowing with gentle, gorgeous Beatley pop..” and “blissed-out gems such as Sunrise Sunset indicate immediately why he’s on Ape — a label run by XTC’s Andy Partridge.”

All very exciting stuff to be honest. Couple that with the news that the esteemable music magazine of the year 2007/2008 THE WORD will be featuring ‘It’s nice to be nice’ on their cover-mount C.D for the U.K December issue (Out in November). We’re very chuffed and honoured about this and would like to thank Mark Ellen & David Hepworth for all their support.
Now…..getting your hands on ‘GIDDY’ couldn’t be easier, cheaper or more exclusive filled than HERE. A little black pug-nosed dog has told us that along with a free digital copy of the beautifully realised die-cut boxed album with your pre-order you’ll have a chance of winning a complete one-off home-made sleeved (By Thomas) rare miss-pressing of The Pugs debut single in Ireland Finer things in life!! The C.D contains 3 rare Pug tracks exclusive only to that release (‘The Season of flowers and leaves – Original version, ‘Two Wrongs’ Acoustic demo in it’s original key and ‘Finer things in life’ Original 1992 shed demo). There were only 30 found by Thomas in his shed (beside the Christmas tree) so we really wanna’ see those fingers on the pre-order button (as Vic & Bob used to nearly say).

Add a BBC radio interview with Sean Rowley this Tuesday (29th of September) plus more copious amounts of radio and press interviews PLUS some live performances in the U.K & Ireland (yet to be finalised though you will hear about them here first folks!!) and we start to have phase #1 of PUGWASH GOES GLOBAL!!
