We here at Pug-Central like to spread the love and offer our best wishes to friends and other talented geezers and geezettes (?) when we feel it’s warranted and this is one such time.
Close friends of The Pugs – THE DUCKWORTH LEWIS METHOD will be in London this Thursday the 20th of May in the year of our ironing board 2010 to hopefully snafu the hugely respected and coveted prize of Album of the year at the 55th IVOR NOVELLO AWARDS
To be nominated is incredible in itself but to beat the other two contenders (Dizzee Rascal & Paolo Nutini) would be a dream come true of Goliath and Herculean proportions!! So let’s send out good karma, love and best wishes to Ducky and Lew and we’ll announce the results and maybe post a few exclusive pics at the weekend, or as soon as Duckworth sends them to us.

We’d also like to plug the bands upcoming gig as part of the legendary Richard Thompson’s curation of the MELTDOWN FESTIVAL in London’s South Bank this June. The DLM will headline the Queen Elizabeth Hall on June 17th (with support from the excellent ‘Leisure Society’).
WOW..they’re busy beevers.
Finally..The Pugs would like to thank everyone who travelled to, and who were involved in, the massive success of our first major London headline gig at the Lexington in Islington recently. What a night!! As you’ve probably seen elsewhere it was a jam-packed pop fest and though we love to still communicate with you all here, most of the reviews, pics and videos of that special night have appeared on YouTube and on our various FaceBook pages so check them out if you haven’t already!!
